Just wondered if anyone on here would buy a Mitsubishi EVO at present...
The reason i ask is that a mate of mine has a EVO 9 for sale for nearly a yearly and finding it very difficult to sell.. its very reasonably priced but in the current climate no one seems interested..

if i could afford one i certainly would, great cars.

i dont think you could dream up a thirstier, more expensive to service 2 liter car if your tried. and nobody really want that right now.

never mind people not having enough disposable cash to shell out on an 09 evo (which i asume is quite a lot) and any that do will be taking their money to a dealership where they have some security/ warranty/ comeback if theres problems.

have you advertised it on enthusiast sites?

the market for someone buying a 2009 EVO in Ireland is about 1 person if you are lucky, good luck in finding him.!

better to sell that in the UK or EU wide even

    It's an Evo9 not a 2009 Evo :D

p.s. Selling it in the EU could be tricky. RHD.

    That is cheap!!!

The problem is that its the fq300, or second lowest spec if I'm correct (been a year since I looked) and these days if someone was going for an Evo 9 I'd imagine they'd be going for the all out top spec (fq400?)

Have you a link to it?

from what I can see the car market in Ireland is well and truly shagged, shagged more times than lindsay lohan on one of her good days.

Someone here got a DC5 for 4 grand or so (needed some work but still..), 4grand is about 3.5k sterling, try getting a DC5 in the uk for that.

a DC5 would cost way more in mainland europe also. Same applies to BMWs, 5 series cars here now probably cheaper than the uk, the list goes on.

The Evo9 probably unsellable here, even at a ridiculous price.

bottom line... hell of a market for a buyer

want to buy a top of the line lexus... no bother, there is one within your budget somewhere!

It was €4500 and it looks like it was under a tree in a field for well over a year. If the market was that shagged it would still be under that same tree :pac:

Put an 08 1.6 diesel focus up on donedeal and see how shagged the market is.

Im not talking focus cars here... they would sell in riga now just as well as here, and that country is a f***ed as ours.

The guy who is gonna buy a diesel focus isn't going to look at an Evo and a guy who is serious about an Evo probably wants more than an FQ300. If I wanted a car with 4 seats I would be looking very hard at an Evo 9RS or possibly a GT. FQs would not be on the list.

Would love one but wouldn't buy one. My mate has one and cant get rid unless he's willing to take a big hit. Beautiful car though.
