    Hey guys
I'm in the market for a new laptop, been looking around and its between a HP Envy 14 or a Mac Book pro 13". Thing is i cant find the Envy anywhere, i seen it on amazon.co.uk but before i could buy it it disappeared.... maybe i was seeing things.
Anyone got any pointers? or should i just go with the mac?

Is it just me or is that a crazy price given the spec?

Thats miles too expensive and in any case the envy 13 and 15 were launched long before the envy 14 and 17, that processor isnt particularly powerful or new, it was launched in Q1 2009! Its a nice looking piece of kit but that laptop would, at this stage be outgunned by laptops costing a third of the price

Being constructive, i see that its on the currys uk website at 900£ for the i5 version. That means a currys over here could probably get you one in or you could get one up north, or alternatively, you could post on the currys boards forum where the MD would probably be able to get one for ya!

Otherwise, its available in the i7 guise for 1000£ on the hp uk website so that coule probably be shipped to someone you know up north or whatever

Either of those though are a damn expensive laptop for the spec still, barring the graphics card, the specs on the i5 version could be got for about 500£

This shows an interesting contrast, slightly newer i5, and a decent graphics card, and proper ram and storage from a reputable manufacturer, and its 350£ less

Envy 14 is only in the Currys outlets in the Airports, I'd say if you wander over to their forum http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1333 , Declan might be able to sort something out for you.
