P3 ACCA homestudy, is it possible?

    Hi everyone,
I am currently waiting for my P2 ACCA result which is due to be released next Monday. If I pass this paper then I only have one paper to do which is P3.
Actually, my study is okey as I have always passed at first attempt (I start ACCA from level 3. I also did ACA from Prof 3 and I passed the FAE in Sep-09). However I always attended colleges for these exams (as my firm paid for it J).
Now, I am thinking of doing homestudy for the P3 paper (my first time J). Has anyone done homestudy for this paper and passed at first attempt? Is it easy to do homestudy for this paper (theory based papers) compares to other papers (numerical based papers)?
To be honest, I am not really confident to do homestudy for this paper as English is not my first language.
Also, if I do homestudy for this paper:
    - How should I study it (such as starting from textbook first or past exam papers first)?
    - What type(s) of books I need to use: textbook, question bank etc? (also, BPP or Kaplan...)?
    - Should I attend revisions and which college?
    - Any other things that can help me passing this paper (that I cannot think of now)?
Thank you very much for reading my questions and I would really appreciate if anyone can give me advices on this.

    Hi,

I sat this paper last December so I will let u know if i passed or not.

I found it quite easy to study as there are many free resources on the net. Opentuition was very helpful with opportunities for many international students to discuss the paper on their chat forum.

I know people who went to college for these exams where the lecturer just read the entire book without much analysis.

If you can, a revision course may of course be helpful

    Best of luck
