And so you should be sorry, listening to 2FM :)
I was too busy watching RTE fcucking up their news @1 on tv. In case you didn't see it, the mic wasn't working so the news was delayed for several mins 'till it was sorted. Typical RTE.

I've just listened to it now. He got off a bad start with a technical hitch and then he slowly losses it, was almost hyperventilating at the end. Poor guy.

The poor lad, I've lost my breathe during a bulletin before and its hard to get back on track, but he just sounds ill. Is he a regular in there or was it first time nerves?

Yes it sounds like he ran into the news booth and was out of breath. He (Peadar Mac Gaoithín) is a regular on both Radio and TV news as gaeilge.

Damn right. Swallowed a fly once during a bully and thank gods for the clip, that's all I can say :)

Why is there any need for a token Irish bulletin? If you want the news in Irish go listen to RnaG.
