Wouldn't say gig of the year. They were a bit crap before the break.

not even gig of the week Shando ;)

I enjoyed the 2nd half of the set and it was like a different band, but still there was stuff that just wasn't right last night........I'm sure people going tonight will get a much different experience......

Yeah, was very subdued before the break, Astbury with his usual bull**** ramblings:rolleyes: Picked it up after that ...but no where near the intensity of the Olympia gig last time round imo. Nice to see Elvis Costello on rhythm guitar!:D They could do with widening the exit in that place ..awful narrow getting people out.

ha, yeah he was a ringer for Elvis Costello. They were definitely off form. At the end of the gig I think Astbury actually said something like "Come back tomorrow night, we'll be better then".

I thought the set list was disappointing and the performance of She Sells Sanctuary was a bit lackluster. They just seemed to plow through it.

That said, overall i enjoyed the gig.

I enjoyed the second part, they took their time to get up to scratch i think and i heard Billy was a bit sick.
Great drumming from that lad from NYC and we got some pics outside after the gig when 2 of them were leaving, some of the purists with me were delighted!
First time to see them live after growing up listening to them :o and they rocked,i was hoarse this morning :D.
First time in the Academy too and i like, bar the poxy toilets.
    Pleasant crowd there aswell,nice atmosphere....

Don't think he sang much of the words at all and only half of the chorus, like he was catching up but didn't bother, still i sang it for him :D.

Duffy was giving out all gig, i guess he couldn't hear himself, still it was my first time seeing them and i thought they were savage!
