Could you approach some churches that have gift shops? Our Lady Help of Christians on the Navan Road has a gift shop.

City Deal maybe if you can take a hit of 75% off RRP. Maybe go the online business route if you can't find distribution.

Have you used City Deal previously. How does the business model work? Have you contact details?

    Hi,
Have you looked at Amazon, ebay or donedeal.ie? Alternatively if you're an established retailer/wholesaler in that area why not set-up your own e-store?

There are a number of e-stores in a box you could look at, one I'm looking at at the moment is Zen Cart. Seems to have all I need eg invoicing, stock control etc etc.

    Best of luck.

No I havent used it myself as it's not suitable to my business sectors. Its more suited to the service industry in my opinion but can also work for liquidating stock I would image. The business model is you offer their customers 50+ % off and then they take half of the gross sales price so you are talking at selling at less than 25% of RRP. So to turn profit in normal day to day business you'd need 500% mark-ups on your product or a life time net worth customer approach.

Does the business model work? City Deal is the Irish division of Groupon. Starbucks are big users and the CEO of Starbucks (Howard Schultz) and his VC firm made a big investment last Thursday and he now sits on the board. Its the fastest growing company ever (according for Forbes). So its safe to say the model works (and isn't an attractive market to get into in my opinion before people get idea's to start their own). Although granted Irish firm Gruupy were successful with a nice take on the idea. Longevity wise my money would be on Facebook deals kicking Groupon's ass, but that's a few months down the road. So right now they're Golden.

    Contact citydeal.ie

Go for a chain of gift / card shops. Cards n Things, Tuthills, some of the Hallmark stores such as Carrolls Hallmark (some are multiple unit franchise), Byrnes Bookstores (carlow/wexford)

Depending on amount of stock, you may find one of above enough. - But you need to hurry as they'll have some stock pre-ordered.
