There quite accidentally happened to be four of us vegans in one place in Ballymote the other day. Woo! Are we all there are though? Anyone else?

I'm from Sligo but not a vegan. Just a vegetarian. I know rakes of veggies round Sligo, don't think I know any vegans though.

I'm from sligo (don't live there) and know about a dozen veggies/vegans from there, since childhood. A birthday party I sometimes go to on a mountain in sligo has dozens of us yokes :p

Good stuff! I always thought that people might be inclined more towards adopting a veg*n lifestyle if they knew there was a preexisting community there.

^^ is more general, but most of the places should offer veggie options i'd say.

I love Poppadom Restaurant, right in the city centre.

Bistro Bianconi have divine pizzas. Also located in city centre!

Whenever I come home Dad would always get me the gourmet vegetarian from there. Oh man aliiiive. Its going to sorely test my newly adopted veganism next time round.

Did ye try posting on the 'Vegan Sligo' page on facebook? Or just send an email to 'vegansligo@gmail.com'. They are trying to get a group going there with meetups and stuff. I'm sure veggies would be welcome also.

I did yes, so did someone else, but the admin of the group seems a bit busy now to be co-ordinating a meet-up, so if someone wants to step up and organise a lunch meet-up or something it'd be great.
