    Off this article:

    http://www.erica.biz/2009/make-money-online-fast/

    And then these sites:

    http://www.elance.com/
    http://www.odesk.com/

I've been looking around and can't see any major issues with the work itself - low paid certainly, but doable, especially if you've got decent broadband and a headset, but I'd like some more opinions - especially if anyone has dealt with crowds like this before?

Mods, apologies if this has been covered before.

I've been using sites like these for years. They're legit.

have you seen the rates people are working for ? $5 an hour in some cases. I'd concentrate on finding a better paid job than resorting to these sites.

edit: im referring to the jobs like data entry and semi-skilled admin. there's possibly better pay in the graphic work and website design jobs.. good way to build a portfolio too.

Thankfully I'm in fulltime employment, but the R word (not recession, the other one) hovers over us again, so I'm trying to get set up with a few other options in case it all goes tits up. While I completely get your point about how low paid some of the work is - if you don't have anything else lined up its still better than nothing y'know.
