If Someone Murdered Your Partner

I've been thinking about this lately and come to the conclusion that were my fiancée to be murdered by another person in cold blood then I would want to take that persons life with my hands. I can put aside that two wrongs don't make a right. I know the person that I am and wouldn't experience guilt or remorse for my actions if the murderer had been absolutely cold blooded in their act.

I'm a sap in that I'm desperately in love and have been for the last 6 years and would be robbed of waking up to that person for the rest of my life. Dreaming with them, seeing their smile, listening to their stories, everything that makes life special.
For another person to come along and rob me of that is just unthinkable. In our justice system the most they could expect to serve would be what 10-15 years? That's awful for a robbed lifetime which is why I would feel that it isn't unreasonable for me to take their life. Not by a lethal injection, not by electrocution, not by stoning or any method other than my own hands. They wouldn't be restrained, that just wouldn't be civil or fair.


TLDR: So what about you? Were your partner callously murdered what do you feel would be justice for you?

Was just chatting about this earlier if someone murdered my partner or kids if I ever have any I'd strangle them with my bare hands and have them look at the hate it my eyes as the life slips from their body

Y'know OP, I'm single at the mo but obviously envisage myself down the line with someone and get what you are saying.

I saw on the TV the fiance of michaela harte and I remember thinking how will he ever get over this (how could anyone?).

How can anyone be expected to live through that, it's cruel and it's sickening.

I've never been violent but I 100% get your sentiment.

I would be devastated and find life unbearable.
My family and friends would obviously be there for me but my life would be awfully empty .
I would eventually have to restart my life somehow or end it all ... but damn how hard it would be to move on . It's a horrible concept.....

ah thats so sweet. Would your fiancee rather you spent years in prison or get on with your life, we only have the one opportunity in this world ( as far as I know). I would hate to think of my husband doing time for a revenge murder besides I would need him to look after the little ones, their needs would be more important than his need to seek justice.

I'd want my wife tracking down my killer at all costs, till all her money was gone, the robber dead, my wife in prison and all my wife had to look forward to was weekend conjugal visits with my stuffed corpse.

Leave them in a dark room and play Radiohead songs to them repeatadly for 48 hours after that i would tickle them for long periods and force them to eat the jam between my toes. Finally i would make them watch every episode of Eco eye and invite Duncan Stewart around to stimulate them with some sh!t conversation over a nice chianti and some fava beans

Oh I am a very positive person and very laid back but I couldn't forgive someone who in all essence would have destroyed two lives and affected many others.

I would kidnap him and inject him with tetrodotoxin, paralyzing him, but leaving him fully conscious.

After restraining him and making preparations to ensure his prolonged awareness, I would remove his eye lids. I would then inject him with adrenaline so that he can't pass out from pain.

Then the fun begins. (Some of you will know where I'm coming from!)
