im starting a new program (stronglifts) that i do squatting 3 days a week. and other exercises every second workout.

the problem is i can only work out on a friday, saturday and sunday due to being away at college for the rest of the week.

is it alright that i workout like this? or is it vital that i take a break...

You could do it but Im not sure if you would be able recovered enough to make the weight jumps.Stronglifts is 5 straight sets with a weight jump after every successfull day right?

If you're just starting off you might be able to keep making the weight jumps on the squats.I'd be more worried about the shoulders getting hit heavy 3 day in a row tbh.

The first time you go to the gym you do SL5x5 workout A, the next time you do workout B. Alternate workouts A and B like this every time you go the gym, and always wait at least 48h between 2 workouts for optimal muscle recovery. Most SL Members train Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

Do one session on the Friday and the other on the Sunday,
    Drop the third day.

This. Don't squat 3 days in a row, you'll be banjaxed in no time.

Don't drop the third day just don't squat on the third day. If you can only work out on three consecutive days then perhaps you should consider tailoring your own programme (or have people help you here) rather than following something like stronglifts.

If he did the bench and press three days on the trot his arms would be pretty shattered too.
Dropping a day seems like a good example of tailoring the programme to his needs....

I didn't mean that he shouldkeep doing the programme but just drop the squat. I meant he should change the programme completely so as not to hammer one body part on three consecutive days.

Only doing two non-consecutive days is one day of doing it. But I think, as beginner (which I am assuming he is), he can benefit from lifting on three consecutive days he if correctly tailors his programme.

That being said, the ideal solution would be work-out during week too. Do you not have a gym in college or nearby?

I'd say squat friday, deadlift saturday, bench and lighter squat on sunday is best option
