db1412 hyd probs

i have a 1979 db 1412 that has got hyd problems when i brought it last year nothing worked so i had to fit new internal valves and a new hyd pump changed all filters and oil now the lift capacity is less then a grey fergi also it states on the qudarant that the lever should be pushed towards the rear window but will only it will lift is if the lever is pushed towards the cab floor and will only lower if it is placed 3/4 of the way up the qudarant and then it lowers very very slowly could i have fitted the valves the wrong way round so the system is working backwards it is full up with mp oil [same as my mates 1594 n that works fine] any ideas

It covers the 1412 model also. Might be worth getting. I find it good. Worth the money.

When working the back arms, the selector dial should be in 'External'. The other options are 'Depth' and 'height'. To lift just pull the hand lever back fully against the spring. When you let go, it should stop lifting. To change the dial to external, the hand lever has to be held back (up) fully against the spring also.
Does it do this?
