Classroom aids: where to buy them?

Just a small question. Instead of disturbing the flow of a class by writing a journal note, is there any place I could buy a stamp of some sort that says, for example, 'disrupting class'? That way I can stamp the journal quickly and move on with the lesson. That would be most helpful now.

I saw a teacher with a 'No homework' stamp a while back but never got around to asking her where she got it so I'm wondering generally are there any other things like this that could be worth buying?

    Thanks.

They can be expensive so shop around. Worth it though if you get a lot of use out of them. They do last.

Excellent (and simple!). Will head into Reids amárach. Thanks!

Any other suggestions from anybody for handy classroom aids will be appreciated.

For the positive ones I'd go with stickers rather than stamps.

If you teach JCSP classes, the stickers for that programme are very good and surprisingly popular with even the most challenging student. Sometimes I'm amazed at big lumps of lads lining up looking for their stickers.

Where can I get the stickers? Do you mean the JCSP stickers that Spurious mentioned or can I get other stickers made up somewhere?

Great link. What other time-saving stamp ink pads could I make up besides 'Disrupting class' and 'No homework'?

Yes, secondary. What positive stamps would you suggest?

Have a look here. Some of them are quite silly and childish but you'd be surprised at how many secondary school students like the childish ones. Google school stickers and you might come up with more.

superstickers.com are the cheapest I can find. (for primary)
justrewards.ie don't have the same range, but worth a look.
Oh, almost forgot, the praise postcards are the Holy Grail for students. Bill Rogers (he of "cracking the hard class" fame)swears by them. Have a look at the pre-printed ones. I get the children to write their address -saves me time ;)

Only to be given out really rarely but worth anything.

Just back from Lidl where I got a red and two blue coloured ones. I came home and put the letters into one of them and it gave me out black ink! They are nevertheless great value for €5 each but I'll bring the other two back and look elsewhere for ones with bigger letters and a more vivid colour.
