Wanted: Specialized or Fizik Saddle

After crashing today I find myself in need of a new saddle :(

Looking for a Specialized Toupe 143 or Romin 143 in black or white or a Fizik Arione in black or white - I know these saddles suit me so I'm inclined to stick with them.

Would ideally go for an 'as new' saddle but would consider a used but in good condition perch if there's one out there.

    Cheers

    Che

    Hi there,

I have an almost new Fizik Antares saddle for sale, cost me €152 in chain reaction cycles.
Will include a free seatpack, this cost €15

Price posted to anywhere in Ireland is €100
Hope you were not injured in the crash.

    I have a white toupe 143mm.

As I recall it's pretty much unmarked, but they yellow a bit with age and I think it's about 18 months old.

If you're interested I'll throw up some pics.

Lumen dude, I didn't find the toupe to my liking either, so much so I had to call my GF to come and drive me home. The bare seatpin would be more comfortable. Toupe is a super saddle, only if it suits you.
I traded mine to cyco for a vintage regal, but really prefer a rolls:D

Hey guys - thanks for the offers!

@ Lumen - would definitely consider the saddle and if you can put a few pics up that would be excellent.

@ Surferdude41 - big thanks for the offer there too, I've not tried an Antares but on paper it sounds very similar to the Toupe - if I don't go for Lumens saddle I might drop you a line yet.

And thanks for asking - didn't come out of the crash too bad, bumps bruises and scrapes but nothing serious thankfully, bike much the same - a few paint chips that I'll have to repair, the saddle seems to have taken the worst of it. Feel like I did 10 rounds with Tyson today though...

Was a classic example of a crash that didn't need to happen. 5kms from finishing up a 64km ride a clubmate clipped a parked up car on a hardshoulder (head down working hard, not looking - complete rider error). I closed the 20ft distance between me and him in no time flat, maybe just over a second, just in time for his bike to tumble out in front of me - the rest as they say is history. The other rider took a good thump, needed ambo but seems to have come away with just minor stuff too.

Learning to fall properly during a misspent youth mountainbiking came in very handy - though doing it at 35kph onto tarmac is way more severe than on dirt...

@ H:B - if I don't go for Lumen saddle feel free to go for it. Was actually going to ask if you had a junior gearing cassette (15/16-27t, 10 speed) that you're not using anymore? Have a U16 in the club that's interested in getting into racing and would get away fine on a used one if it could be got.

No problem! I just have 14-25 cassettes for junior gear restrictions which I actually still use so sorry i cant help with that!!

No worries lad - not (m)any juniors around here and few other names came to mind. What chainring do you use with the 14t to give you the 6.9m rollout? Must be an unconventional combination?

For the junior rollout it is achieved by 52x14.
I think (not 100% sure now so would want to check it up before going buying anything) that the U16 rollout it achieved by 52x16 or some other combination

I have a nearly new (200km, ditched it after last year's Ardattin 200) Fizik Arione in white.

I could be persuaded to part with it for the right offer.

Cool! If you could put up a pic or two and let me know what you feel is a good asking price I'll definitely give it consideration.
