Im looking to get a new driver and went into a well known golf shop yesterday about trying before buying. THey said you can try it on their computer simulator, I have only seen these once before on Entourage!! My question is can these give you an accurate account of how the club will work for you or are you better off buying from a proshop (which I think would be a lot more expensive) and trying on their range?

Also do the clubs that say you can adjust the left to right by 40 yards work? Don't think ill buy one anyway as i don't consistently shank to the left so the times i hit them straight would then end up left!!

Why do you say that buying from a pro-shop would be dearer. I'd prefer to see the actual flight of the ball rather than a computer simulator......which may or may not be accurate (your money is real so I'd go with a real flight).

Not sure I've ever seen anyone shank a driver......especially left (unless you are left handed).

have used the machines to get the right feel from the shaft but you've gotta hit the course to really see proper results
any decent shop will have demo's of each model

Meant say hooking them left! So would you get a good feel for a club using the computer simulator, dont want to fork out the money because was hitting them savage on the computer only find it doesn't relate to the real thing. Just presumed the proshop would be dearer judging by tbe price of tees and the like I have bought in them but I could be mistaken
