    Hi all.

I have the above washing machine and as of late when the drum is spinning it moves about quite a lot making banging noises. I suppose its a bearing gone.

Does anyone know where to get parts here and is it a big job as in can I do it myself.

If it the bearings its a fairly big job and not really a DIY basic level type thing. I would check out the suspension before doing anything else.

I'd be agreeing with Billy on that if the bearing is gone the machine is usually fubar'd as this bearing is what holds the drum in place but it may just be that.

I had one let go before and believe me you know it ain't going to wash anymore:)

Some machines have dampers, some have springs, some have what looks like a steel plate stuck in between a couple of brake pads and some have a combination of these to damp the drum when spinning. Disconnect from power, pull out the machine, remove the back plate and have a look it may be obvious if something is broken. If you can't see anything obvious grab the drum and try to move it side to side you may see or hear something.

If you can identify what is broken and can see how to remove and replace it try these guys I've used them before good service and prices.

When you put your hand into the drum you can push it back nearly as far as the back plate. Would that be the bearings then??

might just be off it's dampers or 1 has snapped fairly common
