Sky won't pair my card

I purchased a 2nd hand sky hd box today and I called sky to pair the box. The lady from sky said she can't pair it because the box is already registered to another active account. Has anyone ever experienced this or any tips what to do?

The 2nd hand box is still paired to a Sky card which is still active. It could be that there is still money owed to sky on this account. You should check with the person you bought the box from, If it is the case that sky is owed money on this account you wont be able to get your card paired to this box.
