I travel the N6 motorway twice a day am told you can get a top up card like an atm and you can top it up as often as you want, as it is a pain having to stop and pay the toll everyday the e tags are a rip of. Does anyone know how or where I can get this card. Have searched internet checked in post offices shops etc no-one seems to know. Please help:confused:

have you looked at the Video account available on http://www.eflow.ie/ - there are no monthly charges with it and costs are just taken from your debit/ credit card.

the fact that you travel on the M6 twice a day I would recommend getting the tag as you can enter the express lane to the far right which is very handy.

1.21 per month for the tag account is not going to break the bank!

The video account works on the M50 westlink only.

Are the tag accounts not usually cheaper than paying cash each time? If so , how can they be a rip off?

Only on the M50 Westlink. On every other toll you pay the same price as if paying by cash.

This is despite the option of a 10% discount for block prepayment being written in to toll bye-laws, and this is what the "trip card" the OP is looking for gives.

There are so many companies offering e-tags they charge for the privilige of having one. Some charge for the lease of it. You cannot go below E12 on your account and then you pay E1.21 a month for having a tag. The trip card works out alot better for me as there is no hidden charges.
