New car warning lights

My mum got a new bmw 318i today from approed bmw outlet. When she was driving home three warning lights came on. One for the Dynamic stability control ( circle around a triangle), The brake warning light ( circle with ! in it) and the engine warning light. The car is 07 and went through the 124 point test, so we are to believe. Are these serious? Should the car be driven? Is this sloppy on bmw's part?

Any help would be great as I am worried about the car.

    Thanks in advance

bring it straight back and demand another test on it . and demand the results of the test and get it in writing that they have to sort everything...

theres no need to demand really, if you ask politely you will recieve the same service.

id bring the car back, an 07 3 series probably didnt come cheap, so i asume it was from a prestige garage. they dont want to get a bad name, so wont have intentionally let a faulty car out in the interest of cost cutting etc.

personally, id ring them first thing in the morning and they should be able to advise you from there exactly where to go next. it may be driveable, it may not be, they are the experts, and im sure your car is in warranty so let them advise you of your next steps.

Only saying demand a another test because I got screwed 2 years ago with something similar in Waterford thats why I would always go back OK maybe not demand by say it Nicely :)

There is a known fault on 3 series of that age. A control unit is known to fail and show something very like the symptoms you describe. Bmw have been offering the parts free but require labour payment.
Given that you have just bought, you have no worries re payment. Major cost though if you had to pay for the lot.

If the lights were not on before, its possible that this just failed right now. Either way, they will surely have no issues putting this right.
It may be a different fault but as I say there is this common issue

sounds like a flux capacitor issue. costs roughly €1500 to put right.

(car make, model, year, engine, and your location will all help get you a better idea of the problem and repair costs)

It's the yellow warning light not the red one
