    Hi,
Does anyone know if the GP Card is means tested?

If not,why do they ask for bank statements and copies of household insurance?

    Regards,

    Kieran

Yes, it is dependent on your means which card you get, if one at all. Not everyone qualifies for GP Visit card - they have to check your means first.

Yes. The income guideline is 25% more than that for the full medical card. And no secondary benefits apply to the GP Card.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick response.
Does the means test include income and savings or just income?

    kind Regards,

Nett income and savings above €20,000 for single & €40,000 for married. Also rent/mortgage and cost of travel to work is allowed.
