They predominantly sell re threaded tyres. Bought from countries that switch to winter/summer tyres. They re thread them and sell them cheap.

Go with new brand tyres instead. At least that's my suggestion.

Totally incorrect! They sell part-worn tyres, not re-treads. There is a huge difference.

A good few posters here have used them, with no bad reports so far. They sell only 'big brand-name' tyres, with a minimum of 5-6mm tread. I have no connection with them, btw.

I popped up to Tyreland yesterday to get a part worn run flat tyre for my car. From their website it seems that the tyres are merely part worn and taken off public vehicles in Europe when the seasons change. I gave the tyre a quick look and there was approximately 6mm of tread left (new is 8mm) so all seemed grand. Before the mechanic started fitting the tyre I gave it another look, only to discover it had been plugged i.e. tyre had been punctured and repaired. I asked if they had a non plugged tyre and they said no "they're all plugged". Run Flat tyres especially are not meant to be plugged; as a vehicle could have been driving on the tyre for a few hundred km after the puncture. Maybe it's ok for regular tyres but I wouldn't take the chance myself. AVOID IF LOOKING FOR RUN FLAT TYRES AS ALL TYRES ARE PLUGGED:mad:

Did he mean that *all* their tyres are plugged, or just all the run-flats they had in stock?

I couldn't be certain on that; but by the way he said it it sounded like there's a good chance all their tyres are plugged....

Any chance you could verify it before coming on here and saying BEWARE and stating that all their tyres are plugged?

That type of info could negatively affect their business, the least you could do is double check your facts.

They tried to sell me a plugged Pirelli run flat tyre as "part worn" and I would have been none the wiser if I hadn't spotted it. Perhaps their business wouldn't be negatively affected by posters like me if they put the phrase "plugged tyres" somewhere on their website. I for one would rather know that before heading up there.

I'll ask again, if you don't mind.

Do you know for sure all their tyres are plugged?
