I'm looking for names of popular Irish songs (in Irish). Not the Báidín Fheilimí ones though.

Also what's the name of the song they play at ceilidhs and sometimes discos which starts off with jig/reel music and then segues into an upbeat disco-y rhythm?

    Please and thank you.

Diddly-aye is a very good one, or diddly-aye-dee-aye is another.

^^^ You need to give us more to go on. It's all so vague that everything from House of Pain to Pavarotti's going through my head.

I can't. That's all she can tell me about it. I have a vague memory of hearing it lots of times but never knowing what it was called but that could be down to my aluminium consumption.

None of these but thanks for trying. I seem to remember it was like Irish dancing music crossed with Come on Eileen - if you know what I mean. :D
