What type of boot do you want? A full combat boot or a more "hiking" boot? :)

I've heard good things about these: http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/flccb1aa.html

    Can't say for myself though

Why not save up a bit more and get a pair of meindle eagles, savage boot that will last you many many years of everyday use.

A full boot perferably a 6-9".The flecktarn boots are pretty much what I have/had.Im looking for more a genuine tac boot.I was looking at some of the oringinal swat boots(1152).meindl eagle are just to expensive .I cant seem to find them for under 190.I would pay abit more if I found something I really liked but I couldnt justifie near 200 bucks.

Had some of those German boots in the past and they were fairly nice for the price. Eventually got a pair of Hanwags about five years ago for tactics in the FCA and they are still holding up well. In short would agree with Thermo to save up and invest in a good pair. That being said one of my friends loves him Magnums http://www.brixworkwear.com/ie/brand/magnum-boots/stealth-force-8-0-black.html something like that.

Thats weird I was just looking at them and for 100 bucks and free shipping I cant go wrong.Does anyone know if theres anywhere in cork/dublin that stocks magnums?

Army Bargains in Dublin have em and I think that army store near the quay off Patrick Street in Cork do them aswell.

I think those are the ones I have and I love 'em. I've heard they won't last years of everyday use but that's not what you're after, and mine are still going strong (and I do wear mine every day).

Watch out you get the fully leather ones though, I also have a pair with nylon ankle-bits and they're much less comfortable for some reason.

Ill only be using them for airsoft and some shooting/fishing so theyll do me fine.Ill definatlygo with the full leather ,Ill call to afew places during the week and I might throw a fewmore quid in to get some waterproofs.

I have a pair of full leather Magnums.
6" with a side zip and fully waterproof.

Have been using them for the last 7 years for airsoft and for general work.
Have to say they now look well worn and scruffy, but they still don't let water in, the soles are still in great nic, still on the original lases.
    Totally recommend them.

Would love to get a new pair of boots, but these are still going strong!!
I have never cleaned them either and yet they keep on going.:D

British cold weather boot, the replacement for the old pro-boot. By far the best pair of general issue boots I've come across...

magnums, professionally speaking are a 1 year boot, i was told this by the magnum sales rep. meindles are bullet proof, you can buy re sole kits for them as the upper parts dont wear out or rip. also meindels are gortex lined, and a guy in work has a pair over 12 years,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Strange my Magnums are over 7 years old and still going strong!
They have had a hard life, but just keep going.
Still waterproof, extremely comfy and hard wearing.:D
