    Hey - i thought i should post this here rather than the election 2011 forum.

    Is there any resource available that will basically give an outline of all the different irish parties and independants etc, and explain the difference between then. and what each have pushed for in the past.

    Aimed at someone totally obvilious to politics.

    I would say Sinn Fein pull in a larger proportion of people with low intelligence than most of the others. Although you would have to question the IQ of a Fianna Fail voter given the state of things.

    Wikipedia is probably as good a place as any to start

    I dunno about Wikipedia tbh - I'm a huge fan of that website as a resource but at the same time I've come across a good few articles now that show a great deal of positive bias towards the subject. I reckon maybe relying on the articles for the bare bones and then looking at the sources at the bottom for more detail.
