Hey Folks,

Has anyone been able to install the amazon.co.uk app on their android phone in Ireland?

I can see it in the web market but it says 'not supported on my carrier'. When I go into the market on the phone the app is not visible.

HTC Desire on VF.

Same here, Meteor, must be georestricted, or whatever the term is....

i can't see it if i search the market on my phone either

Thanks for that. Tried installing the apk via HTC Sync but it isn't showing up in my apps.

Just put it on your sd card and install it using a file browser (make sure unknown sources is checked).
Works grand on my Desire

Works for me. Just tested it out with Crysis on PC. Scanned the barcode of the DVD case from within the app and gave me two choices to chose from.
On HTC Desire.

Stupid question, were you holding the camera/phone sideways? It wouldn't scan for me when I held the phone upright.

Anyone know who is responsible for this not being available on the Android Marketplace? Is it Amazon or Google?

It seems like a mistake on someones part given the amount of business Amazon does in Ireland.
