    Hi
I am just about to take the plunge and buy the iphone 4 with 02 on the 45 euro plan with 500 mb. I have been looking at all the rates and the likes of three , meteor e.t.c seem to be better deals, just wondering does anyone think or is there any indictations that 02 will drop their prices before I sign up for an 18 month contract. It would just be my luck that they will double the data allowance e.t.c. as soon as I sign on the dotted line

I would change network but all my family and most of my friends are on 02 and I also dont want them to incur costs calling me.

    thanks in advance

always at the start of each month the offers start about 4 working days before the end of the month stores will be send details of offers for the following month, otherwise try very close to the end of the month if the shops targets are poor they will do anything to get a sale!! generally the first few months are the poorest for sales. i have been lucky enough to sell 4 of the networks available in ireland in the past few years and i would swear by o2. better customer care than 3 & easier to call for support.

Thanks everyone for replying, i do agree 02's price plans are very uncompetitive, think i'll wait till end of the month and see if plans improve and if not I might put the feeler out and try and get some of the other members of family and the other half to switch network. Dont fancy signing up for 18 months at those rates especially if there is a new iphone due out in the summer.

    thanks again

If any of those friends & family are in the Garda(gra), get their badge number and you can get 20% off the monthly price with 3, iphone for €32pm;)

    im with o2 and have

    free landlines
    free 02 calls and texts
    150 other network mins
    150 other network texts
    unlimited internet

but they have changed this now and they cant go back on older plans. they are still expensive though cos you can get all the above minus the internet for €20.00 so they are charging us €20 for the 3g.

    Whatever happened to that....

Oh yes, I got kicked off for over using an unlimited service!

They were told to change the unlimited, because it was, in fact, limited to 3GB

Unlimited is definitely not 'unlimited'. There is fair usage limits on data (even on unlimited texts).

If you have to ring Customer Care more than once it O2 can't be that good. I'm with 3 and rang it once and that was to avail of a free add on!
