Historical document query re: VEC schools

Hi all,

Preparing to do some further study into vocational education and am trying to track a series of Memoranda that were traditionally issued in the VEC schools. The memoranda are quite old (hence little record of them available) and tended to pertain to both the curriculum and general running of schools in the VEC sector. They were originally puplished by the Technical Instructio in Branch of the DES.

I am a teacher in a VEC school and have managed to track refererences to and copies of some of the memoranda from CDVEC, TCD Library, National Library and Archives.

I have referenced memo V7 (still in operation)
Memo V16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,36,37,38,45

Memo V40
Memo V50
Memo V53

I cannot find a reference to any of the other memoranda. Are there any long term staff members in service in the DES or the VEC who may be able to recall any of the missing memoranda?

Interesting study. Maybe you can put them up online somewhere as a future resource.

I assume you have contacted the Department to find out do they have them?

Obviously the TUI or the IVEA would two other potential sources.

It is only prep for the study- I haven't actually started yet.
I've exhausted the TUI and IVEA avenue. Do you/did you teach in a VEC school?
