I had them in a set i was given, but rarely used.
I thought they were hybrids, but maybe they're actually woods?
Very very hard to use, i find!

Can anyone recommend a good hybrid?
I love my Burner irons, but they only go down to a 4 iron so i need something bigger?

    Thanks!

On the top it says Slazenger Xececutor 2 Loft - 1,3,5 - 10.5 degree, 15 degree, 21 degree respectively
The 1st pic is of the 1 and 3 beside my Burner 4 iron

Old Driver (1), 3 wood and 5 wood.

A relatively modern driver will be much easier to use (more forgiving) because of a larger head/face and graphite shafts.

Hybrids are generally easier to use than woods and are pretty versatile because they can often be used in the rough.

Their lofts and numbering can be a bit all over the place - I have a #4 hybrid, 22 degrees and it goes just a few yards further than my 3 iron but with a higher ball flight.
The lower-lofted hybrids ~17-18 degrees will be that bit harder to use.

Not sure of your set-up but I generally use a driver, 3 wood and #3 hybrid and will either carry a #4 hybrid or a 3 iron, depending.

I have a g10 driver which i love, and then a 4 iron Taylormade burner which i also love and hit quite consistently!
I've been thinking about getting a hybrid, but maybe not.
If it aint broke, why fix it?
