Looking for some info on PSNI pay scales. Also looking for info on the kind of taxes being paid by members and final take home pay, preferably members in their first five years. I'm trying to do an economic comparison between wages in the north and south and the difference in spending power of take home pay. If anyone from the PSNI could help me with the figures I'd appreciate it.

Check out the below link to details of Constable's pay scales , it should be noted these are effective from September 2009 and do not include the Northern Ireland Transitional Allowance of £2,595 STG . I am unsure if due to the economic downturn the P.S.N.I. did or did not receive a pay rise in 2010 so these figures are , to the best of my knowledge , still applicable.

Hopefully someone else can give you info about overtime , tax , take home pay , pay scales for Sergeant and above , etc.
