transit foglights

    does anyone know how much it wud cost to put spotlights or foglights on a 07 transit.is there a difference between spots and fogs

    There is a difference in the beam pattern (shape)
    If you do the job yourself and use cheap lights I say 100-150 euros, but the sky is the limit really depending on what you want. Piaa lights are nice but they aint cheap.

    Spot lights must be wired in to only work with main beam to be legal if at bumper level, roof mounted ones are illegal but you see plenty, there's an EU directive on light spacing that should be picked up in testing. Fog lights should have a low wide beam to pick up the side of the road in poor visibility but many drivers ignorantly use them to instead of headlights or as driving lights :rolleyes:

    All true Sean, but it works both ways, because I've swaped out the old fog lights on the car for spot lights over five years ago but every now and then somebody flashes their lights at their disgust. I'm sure its not in their eyes and they cant all know me ;)
