So folks, have a Christening this weekend, only thought about the gift now  Saw some lovely personalised money boxes from mothercare on the internet that come engraved with the babies name and birthdate. Bit late for that though.

So what's appropriate for a gift? It's a friend's baby, I'm not a relation or anything like that.

    Ideas folks........ please..... :pac:

It would be too late to order off the internet alright but not in person. You could get a money box in the likes of Tierneys, or Newbridge, Kilkenny Shop, etc and get it engraved. Usually a place that cuts keys / dry cleans does engraving, jewellers do it too.

I like your thinking, as far as I know there is a Kilkenny Shop and a Newbridge shop town (in Cork) :)
