    Hi,

Hope this is the right spot. I have two 1950s lounge chairs that need a complete overhaul: respringing, new upholstery and repairs to the timberwork.

Can anyone help me with the following?

Can you recommend a furniture restorer based in Dublin city?

Can you recommend where to find fabric? (I've already checked out Hickeys and Duffys to see what they offer, I wasn't thrilled).

Can anyone tell me what to expect to pay for such an overhaul?

And any other advice would be really appreciated. Thanks.

I've just posted a reply to another thread on here so I hope I don't come across as being affiliated with them but AJ furniture on capel street in Dublin definitely do cover chairs and sofas.

    Hi Lisad8
I'm just wondering was your mission successful to get the 2 chairs re-upholstered?
I've 2 chairs that need the same job done and I'm trying to suss out who'd do the best job in Dublin (hopefully for a reasonable price)

    HI
I can highly recommend Daly Antique Services (http://dalyantiqueservices.com/about_us.html)

I've used them several times - & they are superb. They are at the very high end of the market which may not be what you need though, depending on the value of the chairs.
