i'm hiring a campervan from wicklow and looking for ideas of where to head to. I'm after wee hidden gems and deserted beaches for evening walks thereby earning me massive brownie points. i have four days and i'm just unsure of wexford and waterford. Hoping to head along the coast of cork and up to Killarney but i'd like a few tips as i'm from the top end of the country :)

Ask the boys and girls in the campervan & motorhome forum, lots of advice there.

There are some lovely beaches and villages along the Copper Coast (Waterford). Skip the busy spots like Tramore and head along the coast towards Cork. I love Ardmore Co. Waterford, the beach is beautiful and there is a stunning cliff top walk. There isn't a lot in the village itself, but you are very close to Dungarvan and Youghal if you fancy a bit more action.

Cork is also lovely, you could drive on to Cobh or Kinsale, beautiful spot and great towns too (although Kinsale is better for restaurants and shops)

Why don't you just drive and see where the road takes you :).

yeah i'm all for the take it as it comes route but my wife is prone to the fear of axe murders at every unpopulated outcrop, if i dont have even a vague plan to where we are staying at night then it will make for a stressful jaunt. Appreciate the feedback folks, cheers.
