I have recently started in an accountancy firm. However, I am currently looking for a new position that offers a wider range of experience. Should I mention on my CV my current position as I've only been there a month? Will employers see this as a negative and be reluctant to interview me.

    thanks in advance :)

Any work experience in the sector is never frowned upon, although they may query why you left your current job.
As a matter of interest, are you currently in a contract to be a trainee accountant with the firm?

Thanks. I think I will add it to my CV. Yes I did sign contract. The probation period is 6 months. Am I locked into the contract or can I leave. As far as I know, they won't be paying any fees until after the trial period.

Even if they did pay fees before I found a job am I locked into the contract?

I think it really depends on what it says it the contract you signed, you should have a copy to refer back to...
Other companies might not look favourable if you jump out of your contract so quickly without a valid reason. There is no harm in trying I suppose if you aren't happy with your current job.
If you can manage to stick the 3.5years where you are (until you are qualified), and then move on you would be in a better position imho.

I don't think I can stick 3.5 years there. Have good reason for employers on why I want to leave on other reasons. There is nothing in my contract that mentions quitting or breaking a contract. So I assume I can leave there?

As far as I know you have to pay back any fees they might have paid for you.
