Moneybookers -> Paypal. A way to use Laser with Paypal?

Moneybookers accept Laser and ive tried and tested it. Funds were added straight from my Laser instantly. The downside is obviously online shops prefer Paypal over Moneybookers majority of the time.

The only thing you have to do once you add the card to your MB account is that they subtract an amount for confirmation that you own the card. Anybody with internet banking can do this in minutes. Took 5 to appear on my internet banking with AIB.

Now i've heard of companies or individuals (possibly somebody here) that do exchanges between Paypal and Moneybookers.

Ie. Send them €100 to their Moneybookers account and they will send say €99 (lets say they charge you €1 for doing the service) to your Paypal account.

Has anyone had experience with this and is it legal?

You will pay fees for the paypal transaction and also fees (i presume) with money bookers. Much easier imo is to get a VISA debit card.

However, i dont see (in my personal opinion) what would be illegal about it - although I am open to correction.

Could you not send the money as a gift and avoid fees?

You can't avoid fees with paypal. The seller pays a % or you pay the fee if you send the money as a gift.

I have a moneybookers credit card and use it to fund paypal transactions all the time. Free to upload funds using laser or back account. Free to use credit card except for 10 euro annual charge. 1.9% charge for foreign exchange.

Credit Card funded transactions are always charged, even if its a gift payment.

Why not just get the prepaid mastercard if you already have a moneybookers account ? It's only a tenner per year
