k everyone basically i have joined the gym last month and changed my diet radically but am not losing weight. Im a 21 year old male 6 foot and 14 and a half stone. I also play soccer 3 times a week as well as gym 5 times.
When i go to the gym on average i will do weight and cardio. i only do upper body weights and nothing too hard and then in cardio i will do treadmill for 35 mins at roughly 9km and complete 5km . i then do the rowing machine for 25 mins at level 10 and get about 5000m. ( Off subject also getting pain in my ankle from treadmill , land on my heel when jogging , how can i stop this)
My bmr is calculated when including exercise at about 3200 calories . i take no where near that much in every day .
here is an example of my diet
Morning - omlette with mushroom and onions(2 eggs)
Dinner- Turkey , ham , stuffing, potatoes, carrots, cauliflower
Snack-Few pieces of mango 300 calories about
    Lunch-3 birds eye veggie burgers
Snack- Small pack of pea nuts and 2 petite fulou (spelling) yoghurt

Thanks in advance for any help i get

Regarding the pain in your heel, maybe you could try the stationary bike instead. Great cardio, no weight on your feet.

If you're not losing weight, then I'd guess that either your TDEE is lower than you think it is, or your calorie intake is higher than you think it is.

I dont really like the bikes i feel like im doing nothing on it compared to on a treadmill. Is the cross trainer any good do u know ?

I never used it. I use the bike for an hour every day. Exhausting - if you feel it's too easy, try to increase the resistance setting. After 20 minutes you'll be pumping sweat. Cross trainer would also limit impact on your feet I'd imagine. Like you I suffer from intermittent heel pain, hence my use of the bike. I lost 400g per week from a calorie deficit every week for a few months last year; 1kg per week when I did the bicycle for 1hr daily in tandem with a calorie deficit.

I have a knee injury so can only really use the cross trainer, and I've lost almost 3 stone in the past 6 months. I average about 800 calories lost per hour on it, and I'm far from the fittest person in the world.

Also, muscle is heavier than fat, so if you're doing much weights, you should keep that in mind.

I think you should talk to your doctor. It may be that you have an underactive Thyroid gland which is inhibiting your weight loss.

Your thyroid gland is responsible for producing the hormone thyroxine, which stimulates your metabolism - regulating your heart rate and bowel movements, and also affecting your appetite and ability to lose weight. Your thyroid gland relies on iodine to help it produce sufficient levels of thyroxine. Without iodine, your thyroid soon becomes thyroxine-deficient which can cause a disorder known as hypothyroidism.

All that bull stuff aside you'd be surprised how many people deal with it. It's treatable.

Your weight is determined by calories burned vs. calories consumed. Someone eating in a caloric deficit should be losing weight.

OP, there's some level of ambiguity in the diet you've posted - how much meat, how many potatoes, how much stuffing (I make stuffing with loads of butter so it's quite calorific)? Do you know how many calories are in the foods you're consuming? It helps to check these things out till you've got a little database built up in your head an it comes naturally to you.

Nonethelesss, what you've posted looks like a deficit for a normal person of your size. As has been said, you might want to go to a doctor.

Not sure if this is just scales or what but i checked my weight a few days ago and it was 14,5lb and now it is 14 stone. How could i go from not losing weight and then just gone like that all of a sudden. I was doing same work outs and same diet :confused::confused::confused::confused:

that is not meaning ful if you have not worried about your health. The word diet doesn't just refer to a reduction in eating. It also means adjusting your diet to include moreof the things you need and less of the things you don't. A balanced diet is going to be key in order to losing stomach fat. Your body stores energy in two ways: glycogen and fat. Glycogen is stored in your muscles and liver.

Quite easily. The human body is 60-70% water. Could be dehydration or lack of consistency in measuring.

Do you weigh yourself at the same time of day, with the same clothes on/off with bladder always full/empty?

As i understand it, it is not possible to lose fat from particular areas - sure you can tone up but if you have a layer of fat over the area it's not going to help. Overall fat loss through cardio and healthy eating combined with strength exercises are the boring but only real way to get sustainable results.
