Hi, just been asked to be chief bridesmaid for my friend. I've never been bridesmaid before so not sure what i need to do.. any help welcome!

I'm looking at the hen party now. The hotel is looking for deposit for accommodation, who pays this deposit? They need it on booking even though I dont have a definite idea of numbers - hen isn't until August so it's very hard to predict. Should I ask everyone for deposits now?

And what are my duties in prep for the wedding? Seen the BM dress we're getting online so thats sorted.

    Thank you!!!

Firstly I would get a list together of the friends that are to be asked!Decide what your going to do,Spa weekend etc! Let everyone know what's been decided and inform them of the cost, this would be for transport, hotel, etc etc. Once you know how many of them are going it shouldn't be too hard to collect a deposit from them. After all theyhave until August to save for the Hen. Good luck with the organising.

Ask the Hotel If you can secure the booking with a credit card and pay the deposit a month in advance. By then you should have a better idea on who is going.

Just remember it is easier to add people to bookings rather than cancel them, How much deposit do they hotel want per person? If its under say €50 ask everyone to pay it by a certain date and that will help you confirm numbers quicker. And then if there is anyone extra like I said its easier to add people than cancel them!!
