Ive read that clay soil can be improved by adding compost and grit. What is grit and where can it be bought in quantity, Im in Armagh?

grit is teeny weeny gravel:D bigger particles than coarse sand and smaller than gravel , seen it for sale in 10kg bags in garden centre near Enniskillen so its out there , its used to put around seedlings when you "pot on" to stop moss and weeds so is sold in small quantities , donno about larger quantities mabey a quarry .

    good luck digging it through:)
