    Hi all

my 9 year old wants to go to home farm academy..

ive heard some bad about them like only the good players get attention and the rest are kinda left aside..

    is this correct..

as they charge 300 euro i think,, i would expect them to be top notch...

has anyone any info on them? or how good they are in relation to other teams?

Why does he want to go. Because his mates are going?

I know two particular people who went to it.

One is now a professional footballer. The other is a flaming homosexual on the fringes of the television industry.

If you would like your kid to be either then I guess it could be worth the money.

Ask in Soccer (you have to apply for access first if you haven't already got it) or Dublin City maybe. Home Farm are one of the best known junior cubs in the country and are supposed to have a great setup but I have no personal experience with them.

It's just outside town on the road to the airport

Does that narrow it down for you?

I think Everton FC have first choice on any emerging talent from the Home Farm youth Academy .

The mention of players and youth academy in the OP would give an fairly general clue unless you're handicapped.

And your location is Dublin so it's obvious to you.

Not everyone knows the locations of different clubs, it was a fair question.

A handicapped question would be asking where are Monaghan United.
There are no clues in Home Farm if you don't already know it

Is there a football club that doesnt treat its players like this?

    Portsmouth do.

Everton did years ago but not anymore.

Yes the mention of the word players and youth academy immediately imply a soccer club team outside dublin that runs a youth academy. Thank you so much for clearing that up for me i feel such a fool. It in no way could have been rugby, gaa, tennis, golf or any other number of sport

That's a fair comment. A lot of people on here are not familiar with Dublin and don't like football and to call someone "handicapped" because of it is distasteful to say the least.

i would hope so,, im not talking about throwing a team of no hopers out there, but at least train them properly and show them a ball from time to time no/?

Do you reckon the post was a genuine cry of confusion or a stock AH cool story bro response to the OP?

Not bothered either way as I often do it myself so I don't cry when it's dished back.

His post wasn't smarmy so I'd take it at face value.
