The thing is with Ryanair, they tell you in advance, all over the site, and you have agreed TWICE with their terms and conditions that if your bag is overweight you will be charged, same with hand luggage and being late.

What actually looses the gravity of the protest was that it was students, had it not of been students it might have had more gravitas, but now you just think more students causing trouble when the are away!

The two things that annoy me most on a Ryanair flight are those that give out about the airline's T&C's and screaming babies, in that order. If people fly with them what do they expect FFS.

    Isn't capitalism great :)

Besides, the students were rowdy, they should all be shot one by one for endangering the lives of other people on board. Never really liked Belgians anyway.

Over 100 students were refused back on to a Ryanair flight at Lanzarote after a Riot broke out over excess baggage charges with one passenger.

That annoys me. They agreed to terms and conditions did they not.

Pay cheap, get cheap. What did they expect? They should have been thrown out over the ocean just like in 70's Chile.

Ah leave them alone, sure how could they afford the charges if they spent all their money on drugs!

    Grrrrr, pesky students :pac:

how much is the charge anyway?

They agreed, it's definitely something I would read if bringing a lot, as I'd expect ryanair to nail you.

They must have signed up to the T&C's in the first place, in order to travel outbound. So what's their fcuking problem? - twits!

You'd have to admire their PR tho. They killed around 5 million people in the Congo yet you barely ever hear about it. They have us convinced they are nothing but the innocent land of chocolate, french fries and Poirot.

The Germans probably wish they could have pulled off such a stroke.

Also it was the police that refused them travel, they should have to book other travel themselves.

Are you suggesting we should protest on the streets with our tophats and monocles? Sometimes a good old fashioned riot works wonders, but not on Michael o'Leary.

I'd like to quote Taaj off 'Come Fly With Me':

'It's your fault for booking with a crap airline, isn't it?'

You're right that Michael O'Leary has a lot to answer for.

€15 per kg over weight, or something like that.

I wouldn't agree that it's a crap airline, they are very honest admitting that if you try to get around their T&C's they will fcuk you over. It's not hard to follow their Conditions. Keep your baggage the right size and weight and you will be fine. The kid could have just dumped whatever put him overweight. The price of the flgiht is cheap enough to justify Ryanair charging for every little thing.

more often that not ive found it cheaper to go with someone else, i rarely go near ryanair but i check the prices anyway cos if they were really dirt cheap compared to the alternative id go with them.

but if you want a more decent luggage weight then dont go with them. a lot of bags weigh close to 4kg before you even put anything in it.

weve all heard the way ryanair works anyway so if you go with them then you know what to expect. although id have something to say if they started a 'bring yer own seatbelts and bogroll' policy :pac:
