Engine developed a loud ticking noise last weekend (not the normal noisy cams/injectors noise). Sounds like it's coming from the water pump area of the engine.
I drop it into a garage on Friday for them to have a look at it but it was a complete waste of time as they said they found nothing wrong with the car even after hearing the noise.

    Opinions and taught welcome.

Is the power steering belt tight enough?

How are the belts for tension? Sounds like it could be a baring on one of your pulleys

I taught it was one of the bearings in one of the pulleys.
Left it into a local garage, turns out the timing belt had slipped one tooth. But I was lucky no damage done.
All working as normal again :D
