the cattle redend up a bit of grass in a few fields in the silage ground around the gaps during the winter. as i say its only at the gaps and the rest is fine. when would be the best time to put a bit of seed down for the first cut.
i was thinking of just running the tine harrow on the patches and then spreading seed and rolling. will this suffice?

Tine harrow will be fine for it. I reseeded 20 acres with a chain harrow last september and have a lovely even coat of grass on it now.

I wouldn't spread any seed until the risk of frost is gone as it will be seed wasted if the frost gets it.
