Double decker, with the middle slice toasted. Spread is crucial; perhaps a pâté, or a nice relish, pesto or mustard. Warm, sliced chicken breast? Or some boiled ham? Why not have both. Some lettuce, tomato, cucumber. Coleslaw and crisps on the side.

    Christ I'm hungry.

Rare roast beef, finely sliced but piled on about an inch thick.
Horseradish mayo, strong to very strong.
Mustard, mild, preferably the grainy stuff with honey from Lakelands Food or osmething similar.
    Lettuce, iceberg.
    Spring onion, raw, finely chopped.
Two slices of Brenanns Nutty Doorstop.

    That is all.

Triple decker, cheese and Mayo on the first layer and ham and Mayo on the second layer. Make sure to cut it into triangles, sandwiches always taste nicer in triangles.

2 hard boiled eggs, sliced cucumber, tomato, spring onion and some lettuce all mixed up together with mayonnaise and spread thickly on 2 slices of fresh white bread. Yummy. I usually have half the mixture eaten before it hits the bread.

    2 truely sexy sambos:

Mix up some grated cheese and red onion with a couple of spoonfulls of milk and worchester sauce. You can add whatever extras you want as well. Put on some nice bread/roll and stick it under the grill...om nom.

If you're willing to put in some more time, fry up some french toast using a chiabatta...then make a sandwich out of it with whatever fried meats and salads you want. Turkey sausages with lettuce, mayo, tomato and cheese is my fave, but u can use rashers, sausage, avocado...whatever.

    God I'm hungry now...

Two thick slices of brown bread, chicken and stuffing, crispy bacon, lettuce and some mayo/garlic mayo.

    All washed down with orangina.

White roll. Cut in half. Really strong mustard on one side. Stick some really strong cheddar on top of that. Slice a tomato and lay that on top of the cheese. Then put some slices of thick ham on top of that. Here's the odd part. Get heinz salad cream and spread that on the other side of the roll. Sandwich. Consume. It's bloody awesome.

Crumbed ham, chedder cheese, sliced tomato, beetroot, lettuce and coleslaw on thick brown bread:)

Brown granary bread with mixed seeds and grains. Real butter. Take two slices of crumbed Denny ham. Rub the ham with smoked paprika. Place on sandwich. Take thick chunky slices of chicken. Throw those delicious bastards on top of the ham. Slice a purple onion as thin as humanly possible and spread evenly over the length of the sandwich. Cut red and orange peppers into strips and place them alternately red then orange then red on top of the onions. Grate some mozzarella and mature cheddar and spread that stuff over the top. Crack some whole black pepper and a little garlic on top of that. Spread out a dollop of mayo on the top slice of bread. Close that bad boy up. Now drizzle a little balsamic vinegar over the sandwich. Slam it into a George Foreman and toast for 3 minutes. When the cheese has melted up nice and good, the bread is toasty and the flavours have infused together, open it back up and pack it full of green and purple lettuce. Squeeze a little lime juice over the lettuce and close it back up.

Slice in half. Eat it down like a drunken maniac. Fukk bitches.

fancy bread? = ciabatta part baked from aldi or lidl.
    1. Cut ciabatta in half. Spread each half with red tomato pesto.
    2. Fry mushroom and red onions with crushed garlic in olive oil. You can also added chopped veg of your preference; Red pepper and courgette is particulary good. Add seasonings etc, be inventive! I like basil, black pepper, sweet paprika and a splash of red vino.
    3. Spoon fried mix over ciabatta, and douse with shredded cheddar and torn mozzarella.
    4. Pop under hot grill until cheese melted. Alternatively place in sandwich press.
    5. Eat. Enjoy!
[ps: this sandwich usually serves two.]

nice, but i have a variation - toasted white bread, as above, but with thin , very thin slices of garlic sprinkled over it.

course you have to love garlic - for wimps, onion will do.

I'm a wimp, the oul' tummy can't handle raw garlic these days. :( I heard wild garlic is a lot milder than the commercial stuff though, might give that a try.

actually the stems/ leaves of wild garlic are the business, and not as tough on the system (though i dispute that garlic induces stomach probs :))

My fave at the moment - 2 nice big thick slices of white bread, butter em. Layer this on: Slice of good corned beef (not that sh!t you get in a tin), slice of pastrami, slice of ham, slice of cheddar cheese. A slather of standard english mustard.

This is a simple but delicious sandwich - grilled rashers, sliced boiled egg, skim of mayo.

Heres a decent one - Grilled rashers, chicken breast, mayo, loads of fresh sliced iceberg lettuce.

heres another nice one - salami, rashers, ham, chicken, pastrami, corned beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoe, tuna, boiled sweets, cucumber, red onion, sliced boiled egg, peperoni, sliced sausage, black pudding, beetroot, billy roll, sliced turnip, sliced roast beef, sliced me finger, horseradish, sliced peppers, turkey & a big cup of tea.
