Hi, I'm not sure if this is the place to post details of our WINTER SCENES photo competition (already posted in PHOTOGRAPHY), but it looks like anybody with an interest in Weather and Photography may be interested, so here goes...

REMINDER: Only 4 days left to enter our WINTER SCENES competition with three Canon Cameras on offer. You can enter prints at any Soundstore (they will even print one FREE 10x8" print per person, or enter online here: http://photos.examiner.ie/competition.html . How about some Wind swept shots, Stormy scenes, Rain, Flooding etc. ?

QUOTE=Irish Examiner Pic Desk;70114357]The Irish Examiner's Photo Competition WINTER SCENES is now open for entries.
Competition rules are straight forward (No rights grabs or anything nasty!).
    Prizes Include a Canon 500D & 18-55mm lens, 1000D & 18-55mm lens and a Canon SX-210 Compact digital camera.
The competition is being run in association with Soundstore / Canon.
You can enter (and see full rules) on-line here: http://photos.examiner.ie/competition.html or at any Soundstore branch (http://www.soundstore.ie/) or by sending a captioned print (max 10x8") to: Photo Competition, Irish Examiner, Lapps Quay, Cork by Wednesday 9th February.
Entry is only open to Amateurs.
    Entry is FREE.
JPEG / .JPG is the only electronic format accepted. File sizes need to be medium to large (but not too big!).
Pictures will only be used in connection with the competition (which may include a printed supplement).
    Copyright remains with the photographer.
Entries will be Judged by an Irish Examiner Editor and a representative of Soundstore. Photographs MUST fit the theme.
Remember: There are lots of subjects to shoot, just because the snow is gone (for now) there are lots of opportunities for great shots of:
    Frost
People (Wrapped up, shivering, Warming beside the fire, Walking, Playing sport etc.) - Just remember it has to be a Winter Scene.
    Rain
    Fog
    Flooding
    Storm
    Winter Sunrise / Sunset
    Wind
    Humour
    Christmas / New Year swims
    etc.

Any questions?: Contact us using this form: http://photos.examiner.ie/contact_us.html

    Best of Luck!

Hi, is there a limit to how many entries a person can make? And can I email in my photo.

There is no official limit to how many pictures that you can enter, but please try and keep it under 10 (judging has to be done in less than two weeks!). E-mail entries are NOT accepted as the on-line entry works better: http://photos.examiner.ie/competition.html . You may also enter actual prints (up to 10" x 8") - Soundstore will print one FREE 10X8" per customer.

I thought they were publishing the results today, but no sign of them in the paper as far as I can see. Anyone know who won the prizes?

Nope, nothing in the paper. I want my €1.90 back

Just seen it at the back pages, a notice amongst the classifieds saying that results postponed until next saturday due to phenomenal amount of entries
