So have you voted? I ask simply because I think if you log onto boards and see the vote thing you vote. Sure why not?

So I was wondering if anyone had logged on and decided not to vote?

    If so why didn't you?

Did you cast a Vote in the Boards.ie GE11/vote 142 votes

    Yes I did.

A poll about a poll? Perhaps after this thread someone can do a poll about whether or not we voted in this poll.

No, because I won't be voting in the real one and it would skew it even more.

    i'd rather Nihilism.

There is an option to spoil your vote. I can understand not going through the hassle to do this in real life(TM) but you only have to click two times to do it in this poll. So, ye know....

Looking at the candidates for my area was genuinely depressing.

I'm just wondering what Thrid Party Boards are going to give your information to? anyway I'm leaving my voting for when it matters and thats this years up and coming x-factor!

I doubt they would give it to anyone. They do have integrity there.

I am just wondering about the 190,000 membership claim. So far 5000+ votes is a small sample of an alleged 190,000 active members.

I don't get out of bed for less than three clicks.

    Don't think I'll be spoiling it IRL so i don't think I'll be E-doing it either :p

I have to say I'm shocked at the amount of support for Labour.

Looks like I should start looking at moving away :(

    From the country.

I won't live in a "worker's utopia" where I'm getting taxed out the arse while the unions run the place.

I assume you're not still in college, if I were a dramatic person I would've topped myself by now. :pac:

Why do some posters have a "I've voted in the GE poll" tick?

I voted and didn't get one

Edit: scratch that, I've found the tick.

    RTFM

You should head to Spain. Reasons why in this thread: http://m.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056171042

I'm going to start a poll about this poll about the general election poll. Then I can see who voted in this poll about the poll about the general election poll. Useful.

Me thinks this poll could be slightly skewed in the way a "do you vote in polls" poll would be. ;)

I've only just realised that Labour are running two candidates in my constituency for the first time. Seven candidates for a three-seater...seems ambitious

I can't atm vote in my constituency as there isn't a candidate I'd let walk my dog let alone represent me in the Dail.

I am currently trying to figure out how to best tactically vote rather than just straight out spoil it.

You could always just vote left or right.. according to your own ideology, and hope that whichever candidate in your area gets in will work well with others.

That's the problem my ideaology isn't represented by the candidates running.

Currently it looks as though 3 FG and 1 Labour will get in.
I am a little bit more left than any of these.

I didn't vote on the survey because I don't trust the privacy control over such data. Despite claims that were made, your vote is and should remain private. I question the motives of such a link.

I didnt even think of that, it will soon be exposed I voted FF no 1.... ooopps!

No, because I won't be voting in the real one and it would skew it even more.

Not voting is just one of those scummy things lazy people do. If you can't bring yourself to be socially responsible and decide which is the best candidate, then at least do the country a favour and vote for anyon just to keep FF out.

I cannot abide people who conciously renege on their right to vote. TGhe excuse that they're all as bad as each other is not good enough. That said, it shouldn't be compulsory, but it still makes my blood boil.
