    Hello.

My Sky Hd box is freezing as in when I am changing channels nothing happens then it starts working after 5 minutes.

Someone said to upgrade the software. I have tried looking on other forums but I cannot see how. Do I need to connect the box to my laptop or how does it work.

    Cheers.

Sky's last update caused this problem, there's a fix on the way shortly.

To reset the box hold down back up button on the box and plug the box out and in again. You should get a message about a software download if you do it right.

The fix is here in a week or so,the ethernet socket is to be used for Anytime+ which isn't here yet.Sky broadband customers in the UK have it.

    Hi Corkie,
    re. 26.70
yes it has worked so far...channels are slow to switch between but does speed up..1 - 2 seconds overall but no green purple screens so far just a black screen..

    no slowness in planner...

playback ...slow to start...no probs yet on fast forwarding-rewinding.... 30 speed looks different...
no probs in bac...sorry black screen on backing up...d'oh

    yes it's the latest!

Switch off the skybox via the socket and then when pressing the back-up button on top of the box, switch the box back on via the socket..
keeping pressing the back-up until the 4 lights on the front light up then release... you will get an update in progress on the tv...takes up to 10 minutes..

while watching our sky+HD, every so often the screen just goes black for about 3 or 4 seconds and picture comes back. We have asked sky about this, but their 'fantastic' customer service hadn't a clue what we were on about! Anyone else experience this happen on their sky+hd?
