the price for the injecters seems a bit steep as does the labour, the engine model would help people to help you.

When the glow plugs didn't rectify the issue did you bring it back while there was still a months warranty remaining?

by the time he done the glow plugs it was just coming towards end of warranty
then the snow came so car was parked up and christmas time etc

Was it the dealer recommended the battery and fuel pump then, at your expense? What was his reaction when you mentioned the glow plugs made no difference and the problem was still the same?

You should have gotten terms&conditions of the warranty.
By reading them you should know what is covered and what isn't.

Pretty reasonable for a set of injectors from what I've seen, 650 for a reconditioned set isn't bad either TBH

The problem manifested itself before the warranty was out, I'd be agrunig my case a little stronger with the dealer and if that didn't work I'd recommend consulting a solicitor.

when problem came to a head, local garage they said glow plugs and pump
    dealer said just plugs
so decided i would just do the pump my self for the 260 and was done then
and was happy enough that dealer was doing the plugs
    problem solved i thaught.

    but wasnt the case.

didn't read terms would have taught if engine gives problems where car doesn't start and engine under a warranty that they should fix....

Ok I might be a bit out of line here. The dealer replaced the glow plugs under warranty, therefore admitting there was something that needed attention under his warranty.
The fix didn't cure the problem would that not mean some other fix is required under the warranty?
Is he a main dealer or unregistered independent?
