Question on slurry tanker

Would a zetor 8145 88hp tractor be powerful enough to pull a 2000 gallon slurry tank,thank you very much:D

doubt it ... unless very flat and dry land!!

a full 2000 would be a fair bit too heavy for that tractor

pulling a 2100g tanker with a new holland tl90a 2wd-no problem in fairly highly meath ground

yeah that should be fair enough at pulling it on decent ground ..

yea i have pulled a 2250 abbey with our tl90a and a 2400 major one day to put out a few loads, just for spreading on the land around the farm, usually hire a bigger tractor for the road work though, think the tractor could be a little light might get thrown around a bit at speed. do you do much road work with yours stanfit

So do ye own that major? Struggle to see the sense in buying a tanker that requires you to hire a tractor to run on the road!

Knowing zetors, a.d their excellent pulling power hp for hp, but poor brakes, I suggest stopping, might pose a bigger problem than pulling.:pac:

My experience of Zetors is a 6340 (75hp) would outpull a Ford 7610 with the same 1600 gal tank and would put up a good show against a TS115 in normal spec.

Id say you will be fine. Tractors have a gearbox for a reason.

Agreed. Excellent pulling capasity and traction in iffy around. Fords aré a pain in the arse on poor ground conditions.

no hire it also, cousin is a contractor so when he's other tractors are busy i just hire the tank and spread around the farm myself, when its the land away from the farm (5miles) i hire the whole outfit ( i drive it and supply the diesel ), we only have an 1100 gallon tank which is used for drinking water for cattle so dont want to get it dirty.

Slurry is essentially just water which has a density of 1kg/litre. So convert your tanker gallon capacity to litres by multiplying by 4.5 and that'll be close enough to the weight of slurry. Don't know how much a tanker would weigh? 1.5 tons maybe?

1000gallons =4.5tons so was close enough
