Anyone know the inside story on what is happening with the Swords GC committee and the Swords Open course owners??

Seems to be a rift in the camp: http://www.swordsgolfclub.ie/news/egm.996.html

Am a member myself so a little worried as to what is going to happen.

I see that an EGM for the club has been called on Tue Feb 15th. Anyone know what this whole issue is about ?

From what I heard, ( so may not be the full story!) the management (who own Roganstown and Swords) came to the club and requested a cash withdrawl from Swords Open so the exisiting committee werent best pleased!

Have heard this aswell. The club had built up a bit of a kitty which the mgt got wind of and requested that this be paid over to them or that all members would pay a levy of about €30 each extra.
