    €57 billion+- 10 cent on a Veyron.

You're going to have to ring all the brokers and insurance companies you can. It's as simple as that. We can't possibly give you an idea of what to expect; especially seeing that you haven't given us any details at all.

And just to note, you can almost completely rule out the online quoting systems as an accurate source for quotes. As they're pure shite for high risk drivers(ie 19 year old male drivers on a learner permit.

He's given us enough details. 19yo on provisional.

The answer is very simple: you should be expecting crazy high price.

Ring around. It'll be expensive though wherever you end up.

    Move abroad.
I don't think you'll find any country in Europe where insurance would cost you more than in Ireland.

Yeah the prices are ridiculous, its even more expensive than the actual car :)

    FYP

IMO, people who have learners permits should only be insured as a named driver - sure, you can't drive on your own in any case.

Then when you get your licence, you can get a car and insurance.

That's a pretty silly opinion to have. I'm relatively lucky in that I got my own car and insurance when I started driving - as a result, come my next renewal I'll have 3 years NCB instead of 1

In the long run, that's always going to be 2 years extra NCB for me, whereas named driver experience really doesn't count for much. I'd also say overall you'd save money just getting your own insurance from the start. Named driver experience is never going to bring your insurance down to reasonable levels

if you're a student try out the axa student policy
you have to ring them up for a quote, they don't do one online

    i'm paying €1800 for a 1.4l Golf, 23yo, prov. license

you can pay monthly without being charged extra interest, and you get up to 3% discount every couple of months with no claims

next cheapest quote i found was with quinn

first ireland are good broker, based in dublin, i've dealt with them online first and then by post....

google them for their website, very helpful crowd ...

to be honest you'll be looking at between 1500 and 2 grand if its first time, i had to pay 2 grand for insuring a yaris 4 years back at 23 years old ,

i went with fbd that time, only crowd that would touch me, well them and quinn, no thanks, !

if you have family insured with a certain company , say it to them on the phone, they will be more accomodating to you because they'll want to hold on to the family loyalty and take on new business too

Why don't you ask the qualified driver, who will be with you at all times, to see if his insurance company can help your out

Asgard Insurance are specialists for young male drivers. their policy is available through easyquote.ie but if you ring them you will get the best price.

1500 is dreaming. the cheapest i can find for a friend is with quinn.

    19yo on a prov license,
    FEMALE
    on a 1.2
€1235 Third party F&T with quinn

As your a male id expect atleast another 200 on top of that.

However like mentioned before the more effort you put in ie the more quotes you get, the more likey you are to save a few quid.

Also in regards quinn id get a quote online first and write down the quote number, Then ring in for a quote it can sometimes happen over the phone quotes are different with the exact same details.

Also try FBD they inured me very cheaply last year on a car that I couldnt realisticly get insured on anywhere else. (I was 20 at the time and am also male although did have full license)

    Best of luck
