    Hi All,

Not sure if I'm imagining this, but I've been following 4x4 prices and thinking of buying for the last few months and think I've noticed 4x4 prices bounce upwards.
Particularly Pajeros, noticed prices slightly up since November or paying the same for an older year.

    Maybe I'm way off.
ps: not trolling, just wondering if anyone else has seen this, maybe the weather has boosted prices, in that case I might wait a couple months.

I'm always watching Pajero/Shogun prices from curiosity and can't say I've noticed much of a change in the prices.

There's still the 3 distinct groups
    1. Dreamer - who somehow thinks that €12,750 is a good price for a commercial '06 LWB (hint - if its still not sold after 6 months you might want to review your price  )
    2. Realist - who prices their '03-'05 between €5000-€8500 and their truck soon sells
    3. Cheapie - the one thats priced so low in comparison to others that you wonder whats wrong with the truck

Having said that, I haven't seen prices rising - but I do agree that there's quite a few now that are similar in price to the same year/mileage that they were 6 months ago. I'd consider that holding value rather than rising value though, but that's just my take on it.

just wait until all of the snow panic buyers realise that the 4x4 is not for them , after the 3 months tax runs out and they go back to their bmw or merc , the place will be flooded with them by march.

I've been trying to shift my 2003 Pajero for a few months, it's priced reasonably compared to others and anyone who views it thinks the price is steep. A friend who is a dealer said he could sell it for 1,500 more than I have it advertised for.

However in relation to your point some of the valuations of the landcruisers and other 4x4s out there are ridiculous

This Disco was 7500 last week and is now 9000.

I sent off a feeler mail about any garage warranty, no reply, but the price was increased. (Maybe they typed in the wrong amount at the start?)

sorry lads i should have been clear i was talking about pajeros. landcruiser values are off the charts and asmuch i like them they are not worth almost double the price of a pajero of same year.

all crewcabs and some other 4x4s have gone up in price new because of the 13.3% VRT is part of it , also a lot of manufacturers arent doing from the factory commercials so the range has gotten limited too.

the LWB landcruiser, Discovery and all the crewcabs are all thats left afaik

Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento, Rav4 / SWB landcruiser, SWB pajero, xtrail, pathfinder are all definitley gone , Dont know what the story is with the LWB pajero.
